UNIX/Linux Advanced Scripting

The course is designed for experienced administrators of Unix systems. In the course you will learn advanced techniques of file processing, starting external programs, network communication, and how to work with restrictive shells, remote scripting with the help of rsh, rlogin and ssh. Furthermore, the course will deal with problems of starting processes in the background and their synchronization, script writing for the console. Last but not least, you will be acquainted with BASH configuration, POSIX compatibility, etc.

Good orientation in the UNIX OS environment. Knowledge of shell at the level of the UNIXSH course. Knowledge of vi editor is essential.
