For anyone seeking to prepare for the international IPMA® certification and enhance their competencies in project management.

In the IPMA certification preparation course, you will learn both fundamental and advanced project management techniques and methodologies. The course guides you through the entire project management process, from initiation and planning to execution, control, and closure. You will also focus on developing your behavioral skills, enabling you to communicate effectively not only with your project team but also with all other stakeholders. This course will fully prepare you for the IPMA certification exams, equipping you with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills essential for successful project management.

No prior knowledge is required to take the course. However, specific professional experience is required for the certification itself:

Level D - No professional experience required.
Level C - In the last 6 years, independent project management or acting as an assistant to a project manager for a complex project, with a total effort of at least 300 person-days.
Level B - In the last 8 years, project management totaling at least 500 person-days, with at least 300 person-days involving complex projects.
Level A - In the last 12 years, managing complex or highly complex projects with a total effort of at least 500 person-days, of which at least 300 person-days were spent on very complex projects of strategic significance to the organization.

The study materials will be available online in PDF format, including the International Project Management Standard according to IPMA ICB v.4.

  • Required documentation and how to avoid common mistakes. Exam content and process.
  • Key literature for preparation.
Project Management Tools and Techniques
  • Tools and techniques for contextual competencies.
  • Tools and techniques for behavioral competencies.
  • Tools and techniques for technical competencies.
Simulation Workshop
  • Project proposal preparation and presentation. Retrospective analysis.
  • Kick-off meeting. Negotiation strategies.
  • Each candidate selects and schedules their exam individually on the website of IPMA Czech Republic, z.s. The scope of the exam depends on the chosen level.
  • Level D: Three-hour written test
  • Level C: Three-hour written test, simulation workshop, and interview
  • Level B: Three-hour written test, project report, simulation workshop, and interview
  • Level A: Project report, simulation workshop, and interview
  • No materials are allowed during the exam. The exam can be taken in either Czech or English, and the certification is valid for 5 years.
