This Tesena's accredited course is about how to deliver software testing effectively in an Agile development environment. This 2-day course is about how to deliver software testing effectively in an Agile development environment. It is useful both for testing specialists and for other IT professionals who will need to work closely with them, or to manage them, on an Agile project.
The ISTQB exam is not included in the price.
Testers, of course, whatever their job title, from the most junior up to management level. Others can also benefit, including anybody who wants to understand what they can expect from testers on an Agile project: developers and their managers, business analysts, product owners, Scrum masters, project managers, quality managers and IT consultants.
This short training course is especially recommended for testers who have just begun, or soon expect, to work on an Agile project. It goes beyond the mechanics of testing to cover the most important single success factor for an Agile team: the various ways in which all members of the team should collaborate to deliver high quality at speed, and the special contribution that testers can make to that.
It is also recommended for testers who have an Agile background and wish to demonstrate their proficiency by obtaining ISTQB® certification.
The ISTQB Foundation level Agile Tester extension syllabus forms the basis of this 2-day training course. It focuses on techniques and approaches for software testing in an Agile environment that go further than those covered at Foundation level. This course is accredited by the ISTQB and will equip delegates to take its Agile Tester certification exam.
Our training, created by one of the UK’s oldest and most respected software testing consultancies, includes exercises and practice exams to highlight key aspects of the syllabus, to help participants understand and practice the concepts and methods presented and to prepare them for the certification exam.
Course Objectives
The course’s aim is to explain how a tester on an Agile project will work differently to one working on a traditional sequential (‘waterfall’ or ‘V-model’) project, to provide an understanding of the values and principles that underpin Agile projects, and to show how testers can be integral part of a whole-team approach together with developers and business representatives. The training therefore builds on basic Foundation level knowledge by providing a deeper understanding of these challenges and of the special techniques that can be used to meet them.
Skills to be Gained
A candidate who completes this training can be expected to be able to:
